There is a tourism office in Zomba where the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and culture provides information about Zomba, maps, books, leaflets and POI. The office is situated within the National Archives building.
Traveller DescriptionZomba is a beautiful and lush town and is very appealing to tourists because the colonial influence is still visible in the older part of the town. It is set at the foot of the majestic Zomba Plateau which is a very popular hiking destination.

The local market is huge and sells everything from excellent fresh vegetables, fruit and spices to clothing and hardware. You will literally find ANYTHING at this market! Even if you don't want to buy anything you have to walk through and enjoy all the colours and smells and the vibe of a local African market. If you would like to eat like the locals do, go to Tasty Bites on the Main Road for good food and service.
