Hainaveld Game Farms (Private) is a privately owned conservancy on the Northern border of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. The farm was once reserved for cattle farming and was governed by the Tribal Grazing land policy. However recently it is changed to prime game farming area.

The farm can be explored on foot with San peoples while teaching the people the hunting and gathering skills, their cultures and crafts. The wildlife in the reserve can roam around freely with no fences.

Accommodation option are at Haina Kalahari Lodge and deception valley lodge. The private and tranquil guest lodge where visitors will stay in comfortable chalets with en-suite Victorian style bathroom, an outside shower and a private spacious lounge. Each unit is separate and on stilts connected with the main lodge by wooden walkways. Relax in the lounge/dining area and bar area decorated in warm Kalahari colours. Guests can also stay in the farmhouse with en suite bathrooms overlooking a waterhole. Electricity is from a generator and water from a borehole.

The staff for the game farm are accommodated at a staff village 1 km west of the Lodge, with separate rooms but shared communal kitchen and bathrooms with running water and water heaters.

You are no longer allowed to collect wood from the bush in the CKGR, so remember to purchase your firewood beforehand! (Oct-14).
