A small town situated on the border of the Free State and KwaZulu-Natal, halfway between Johannesburg/Bloemfontein and Durban on the N3 highway. The town is one of the major tourist destination in the province with the Van Reenen's Pass named after the town's name being one of the spectacular and must see pass when in town. Other tourist attractions to look forward to includes the Moorddraai monument erected in memory of 9 Boers murdered in 1865, Sandspruit Conservancy, The Llandaff Oratory - The Little Church is the smallest in the Southern hemisphere, the 8 seat church was built by a father, in memory of his son who died in a mining accident and the 'Barefoot Lady' monument just to mention a few.
