Njoro is a small up-country town that services the local agricultural community. It has all the essential services on a small scale, but most residents will pop down the hill to Nakuru for their main shopping list. Njoro has the benefit of having the fully fledged Egerton University on its outskirts, an old colonial golf club both of which compliment the economy of such a small place. Meals can be bought at Njoro Golf Club. With regards to refilling gas, you must have a cylinder specific to the gas company and exchange an empty cylinder for a refill. The Njoro airfield has been gazetted by the Kenya Airports Authority to become an International Airport for the Nakuru area to support the growing cut flower and fresh produce export market. For accommodation, Kembu is the only place geared up for tourists. (Nov-11).

In November the rainfall is short, and from May to July is the long rains. (Nov-11).
