If you are a keen camper, you have to spend at least two nights at the Spitzkoppe in the Erongo area near Usakos. The Spitzkoppe, meaning sharp hills, is one of Namibia's most recognisable landmarks and indeed its most famous mountain. With its blue skies and contrasting red granite 'sculptures' it lends itself to outstanding photographic opportunities. While at Spitzkoppe, you should also visit Phillip's Cave which is known for its rock art and archaeological findings as well as the Erongo Singing Rocks.
