“Ladismith lies on the northern extremity of the Little Karoo, just south of the Swartberg Mountains, on the slope of the split peaks of Towerkop (2198m) Mountain. The town is named after “Lady Smith" the Spanish-born wife of Sir Henry George Wakelyn Smith, Governor of the Cape Colony from 1847 to 1852.” - Chris Smit, 2024/05/01
