Kimberley Big Hole Museum is located in Kimberley. The museum consists of original, carefully reconstructed buildings that have been preserved from the past. The world's largest diamond display can be seen at the museum. The museum has some fun activities which included sifting through gravel looking for a diamond, also taking a tour through the main facility, play skittles in the old bowling alley, or just stroll through the old buildings that have been reconstructed. At the Occidental Bar you can buy food and refreshments. You can sleep over in the museum at the Australian Arms Guest House. The museum has recently been upgraded and now boast with a suspended viewing platform from which you can see the Hole, an underground display and a short film on the origins of diamonds. Various modern displays will show you the history of diamonds including geology, exploration and mining for diamonds as well as a time line showing events that happened in the diamond industry in relation to world event.
