Strydenburg is a small town that lies on the N12 about 80 Km north of Britstown in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa. In 1892 it was started on the farm Roodepan by the Dutch Reformed Church. There were furious differences of opinion and bickering as to what the town should be named. This led to the name: Strydenburg (argument town) (Nov 2011).
