Booking

Homeb Camp is located in the Kuiseb river valley and offers a spectacular view of the dunes. The campsite is basic among the trees on the bank, still underdeveloped with no ablution blocks and water but there is a concrete braai area and a long drop toilet, not well maintained though. The visitors must therefore provide their camping equipment, food, water and firewood.

You will need to buy a permit from Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET) to enter and camp here. There are MET offices in Walvis Bay, Swakopmund and Sesriem.

These campsites cannot be pre-booked, it is on first come first serve basis.

“Stay away from this one, it has deteriorated very badly. We found it filthy , inebreated locals, empty beer bottles and wine bags all over the place ,with a few severed cattle limbs lying around . Drive the 16kms further to Gobabeb for well run and clean campsite/ accomodation . ” - Anton Els, 2019/10/01

“Definitely worth a visit!” - Cobus van Rooy, 2014/09/23
