CAR INSURANCE:
Travellers reported never having to buy additional car insurance when entering or travelling to Namibia. (2014).

PHONING:
The number is for Grootfontein Home Affairs but they can assist in border times. Best time to phone is in the morning.(Apr-12).

VEHICLE PERMIT:
If one is unable to buy a vehicle permit at the border, it is recommended to visit the nearest NATIS office to obtain this. (ie. This rarely happens, but a traveller reported this happened at the Ngoma Border Post in 2011).
