Reportedly very luxurious and excellent food. (May-14).
It can get extremely hot here!
“This beautiful camp is probably the most remote in Namibia if not in Africa! There is little game to be found, as it is a very arid area, but one will find the little things like sand snakes, lizzards cameleons etc. It is all about the utter beauty of the vast mountains, the rushing Kunene river with its rapids close to the camp, the huge dunes of the Hartman Valley and the gentle, gracious Himbas that live here. Activities include quadbiking, river cruises, dune sunrises, scenic drives, visits to the Himba kraal to experience their extreme way of life and a day tour to the Marienfluss. The camp is luxurious and the food excellent. It can get extremely hot in the desert, so the pool is a welcome relief. One cannot drive here, as it is in a concession and so remote, that if you get lost, or have a breakdown, it might take a month before anybody will find you. There is no cellphone reception. ” - Mietsie Visser, 2014/06/09
