The recently renovated Hobatere Roadside campsite is located opposite the Galton Gate into Etosha National Park. Please note that the roadside Campsite has no affiliation with Hobatere Lodge located 1.5 Km north of the campsite entrance.
The new campsite has 10 private campsites with ensuite bathrooms, hot water showers, food preparation area, and fire pit. In addition, there are three large overlander campsite sites that can accommodate large tour groups.
Due to the increased demand for the Hobatere Roadside Campsite, it is recommended that you make a reservation via Tracks4Africa or via email.

Reportedly good ablutions and a good choice on-route to Ruacana or anywhere north. (Mar-14).
“The campsite is built among a beautiful rocky outcrop, with splendid views of the area. No electricity. Good ablutions. A good choice en-route to Ruacana or anywhere north. ” - Mietsie Visser, 2018/10/31
“Hi Claire, Where did you book the campsite? I can't find it! Regards Lara” - Lara Potma, 2018/10/30
“This campsite is not closed, and has never been!! Been there last week (October 2018) and had the most amazing time at their waterhole. Even better than Etosha itself! Nice people. Highly recommended!!” - Claire Guillermet, 2018/10/18
“This is a beautifull location but the private ablution facilities are in a shocking condition , there is a donkey but by the time the water reach the shower 12 meters away it is cold, the shadecloth round the shower and toilet is torn and hanging on rusted wire - Jan Archibald White 12/08/2014” - Jan ArchibaldWhite, 2014/08/12
