Another endeavour from the Namib Desert where an entrepreneur attempted to make success of a salt mine and ended up leaving all his implements and tools right there and left bankrupt.

The man-made salt pans are still visible, and visitors would be well advised to drive around it or risk being stuck.

Strange finds in the area include whale bones and quartz crystals.
