Dete is a small developing town on the Bulawayo-Hwange-Victoria Falls railway line in Zimbabwe. The town is famous home to Marist Brothers Dete, a prominent missionary school that despite having a tiny budget has dominated academically for the last decade.
Travelers passing through will find grocery stores, a post office, a police station, and a gas station. Residents avoid walking too much in the village at night because of the proximity of the park and its wildlife. Shared cabs run between Dete and Cross Dete at the intersection with the main Victoria Falls-Bulawayo road.
