Lodge Camp Kapishya Hot Springs Campsite

ID: w147792 View large map

Located in Zambia :: Great North
Category: Camping :: Lodge Camp

Booking

The campsite is situated on the Mansa River and offers neat ablutions with hot showers, flush toilets (bring your own toilet paper), braai areas and lapas, and plenty of shade. There is now electricity and WIFI at the camp at an additional cost.

This is quite a busy campsite which also allows day visitors, which given the camping rate, is a bit of a nuisance.

Campers are welcome to use all lodge facilities.

The lodge also has a fully stocked bar and a fantastic restaurant where all styles of food are served. Requests to the chef can also be made!

The lodge also offers chalets.

The owner is an avid gardener who created a lush garden for guests to enjoy. Guests can also enjoy lazing in the Kapishya Hot Springs, which is on the property. Gallons of hot water bubbles to the surface daily and a weir created a shallow pool which is safe for children. The temperature of the water is around 39 degrees Celsius and it contains no sulphur.

“There are also many birds in the bush around the campsite. ” - Deon Kotze, 2012/03/15

“The site is about 32kms off the main T2 road so is not ideal for an overnight stop but the hot springs are an attraction as well as the possibility of arranging a visit to Shiwa Ng'andu built by Sir Stewart Gore Browne.” - David Clack, 2009/02/09
