This is the second largest waterfall in the country situated on the Kalungwishi River in the northern side of Zambia. It has a height of 30-40m and a width of 160m. It will become the most visited tourist attraction in Zambia, once the road leading to the falls is upgraded.
With a GPS it is easy to walk to the falls. It is not overgrown but due to leaves not always visible. Anyhow, you will not get lost.
This is a very nice camping spot. There are 4 official campsites just behind the ablution block. Campsite 3 has a water tap, but that may not always be working. The camping site offers 2 shelters and 2 braai/BBQ places. Reportedly a very clean campsite. Good ablution facilities. Nice view on the falls and braai/BBQ facilities.
Firewood is provided. There is no electricity. Cold showers.
There are very safe areas at these falls where you can swim.

“It is a beautiful campsite at the Lumangwe falls. We selected the place directly at the falls, very amazing. The attendant is assisting with firewood. There is also an ablution block nearby but it is not working: no water in the toilet and the shower element is not finally fiixed yet.” - Silvia Bender, 2022/10/02
