The lodge is situated on the bank of the Mansha River. Kapishya is a quiet secluded 6 chalet lodge with a capacity for 26 people. The spacious riverside chalets can accommodate families of up to 5-6 people. The owner is an avid gardener who created a lush garden for guests to enjoy. Guests can also enjoy lazing in the Kapishya Hot Springs, which is on the property. Gallons of hot water bubbles to the surface daily and a weir created a shallow pool that is safe for children. The temperature of the water is around 39 degrees Celsius and it contains no sulfur.
There are three options available to guests who wish to stay in the chalets; either full board, dinner/bed, and breakfast or self-catering. Self-caters need only bring their food with them as all bedding and eating utensils are provided. There is a fully equipped kitchen where clients can cook for themselves. They endeavor to offer limited fridge space to self-catering clients for food but not drinks. The lodge also has a fully stocked bar and a fantastic restaurant where all styles of food are served. Requests to the chef can also be made! The lodge also has a Spa for relaxing massages. There is WiFi available around the main lodge and 4G cell coverage (Airtel).
The campsite is situated on the Mansha River and offers neat ablutions with hot showers (heated by donkey), flush toilets, braai areas, and lapas. There is now electricity at the campsite and plug points are available. Campers are welcome to use all lodge facilities though please check with management if you want to use the pool.
There are also walks, river rafting, rock paintings available to do or see. Kapishya is adjacent to the well known Estate and Manor House of Shiwa Ngandu (The Africa House by Christina Lamb) which is well worth a visit.
