Zutshwa is still an underdeveloped town. The most recent infrastructural development have been a communication tower. There is still no electrical grid, nor paved roads, and water is often hard to procure. There is a guest house and camping site for accommodation in the town. The best way to contact Zutshwa community is via call or text as internet is not widely useable in the area. (Apr-18).
FUEL:
For fuel go onto Hukuntsi or Kang.
KD2 WILDERNESS AREA:
Transiting and camping in this area is subject to fees that support community projects. A self-service permit station in Zutshwa makes paying fees very simple. You must to go the permit station to camp or transit the KD2 Wilderness Area.
Rates - subject to change are as follows:
Transit the KD2 between Zutshwa and KTP: BWP50 per vehicle.
Camping at sites along the Transit Route: BWP100 per person per night.
Camp in KD2 Wilderness Area: BWP200 per night.
Children under 10 years: no charge.

ROADS INFO:
Note the road to Hukuntsi is a badly corrugated gravel road. The road from Zutshwa to Kaa gate is a track and is reasonable, but not good, there are many potholes. There are some deep sandy sections and its very bumpy. Be on the lookout for many cattle. Average speed of 30kph. (Feb-14).
