The Monamodi Camp is located next to the Monamodi Pans in the Mabuasehube area of the Kgalagadi National park. It has very little view of the pan and has basic camping facilities. There is a standpipe (ie. a black pipe coming out of the ground) providing good water. Note that water is not always guaranteed, especially during low rainy seasons. Sometimes the water is drinkable, but also not always guaranteed. It is also closer to the waterhole than the other Monamodi Site.
Visitors must be fully self-sufficient to travel the area. A passport is not needed as long as entry and exit is made through the same gate.
There are 2 campsites here. Campsite reservations are mandatory, you have to book ahead.
Park entry fees may be paid at the gate in Botswana Pula cash only - ensure that you have the correct amount, or pre-pay your entry through the DWNP offices +267 686 1265 or +267 397 1405. Reservations are therefore mandatory.
