The small 600ha reserve was established in 1988 and is now one of the busiest reserves in Botswana. This reserve covers an approximate area of 600 hectares and was initially established in order to create awareness of conservation in Gaborone and the surrounding area but today it has become the third busiest reserve in Botswana.
The reserve roads are well maintained which helps to interlink a range of activities within the park like game drives, picnics and an education centre. Visitors pay an entrance fee at the gate, there is no booking needed, just pop in. The reserve is just for day visitors as there is no accommodation or camping area within the reserve for overnight visitors. The visitors can stay in hotel, lodges and guest house within the town of Gaborone situated just a kilometre away from the reserve.
For more information contact the DWNP Central reservations or directly call the Game reserve office for more information. (Feb-16).
