Nqanqarhu (Maclear) is a small town situated in the foothills of the Drakensberg, near the Mooi river in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. The town was named after the Royal Astronomer at the Cape, Sir Thomas Maclear and was established in 1876 but became a municipal in 1916.The town is situated within the Elundini Municipality and is one of South African destination with a quiet rural setting with its economy depended on dairy farming and a total of four cheese factory.
