Description [ correction ]

Brandfort is a town part of the Lejweleputswa District Municipality in Free State Province. The town history dates back in 1866 when it was a church centre belonging to Jacobus van Zijl who stayed at farm Keerom. Brandfort means "burning fort." The town was the first location where the first aeroplane in Africa was built.
