The campsite at Selous River Camp is located within the woodland and is often visited by wildlife. The campsite has a thatched area with tables and wash up facilities. Firewood is provided by the local watchman, for which a tip is appreciated. Campers can make use of the lodge facilities, including the charging of batteries at the bar in the evening. Meals are available from the dining area by arrangement.

ACCESS:
Access to this camp is by car or fly-in. The road to Kibiti is tarmac, but the road is rough thereafter. 4WD is advised.
BOOKING:
Prebooking at this camp is preferred but not essential.
CLIMATE:
The rainy season is from March to May.
NEARBY SERVICES:
There is a nearby local village, Mloka village, which has a police service, the cell reception there is good. Although Petrol and Diesel aren't officially available it can be possible to buy them in jerry cans on the black market.
TRANSPORT:
There is also a public Bus from Dar es Salaam. There is a nearby airstrip the Mtemere airstrip, situated at the Mtemere Gate, Selous Game Reserve, about 10 minutes by car.
