Murchison Falls, also known as Kabalega Falls, is a waterfall between Lake Kyoga and Lake Albert on the Victoria Nile in Uganda. The Nile forces its way through a gap in the rocks, only 7m wide, and tumbles 43m, before flowing westward into Lake Albert. The best views are from the South of the Nile but make sure you get to the Murchison Falls form the northern side of the park.
There is no possibility to get on the other side of the Nile, so one of the magical moments and activity is the"ferry crossing", from the North there is a ferry (25 000) to cross the river every 2 hours from 12h00- 18h00-19h00 daily. the ferry carries up to eight vehicles. The passengers will get out of their vehicle and aboard the ferry along with their vehicles across the Nile to either side.
The falls is situated within the Murchison Falls National Park so visitors will have to pay entry fees.
