Deriving its name from the Tswana word meaning 'Place of Sanctuary', Marakele sits in the Waterberg Mountains, in the eastern lowveld of Limpopo, offering visitors the chance to drive up the Sentech Towers.
Summer experience heavy rainfall with thunderstorms while winter mornings and evenings can be very cold, with moderate frosts in low lying regions which makes Autumn and Spring ideal time to visit. No Motorbikes allowed because of policy.
Accommodation is offered in lodge, rest camp and tented camps. Only the accommodation facilities and camping site are supplied with electricity. There is No ATM facility available in the park, only Credit Cards are accepted at reception.
