Africa's largest protected wildlife reserve is untouched by man due to its remote locality - The Selous Game Reserve, now renamed Nyerere National Park. The easiest way to get there is by small aircraft. The Game Reserve is most popular for its flying Safaris. Flying is the transport of choice due to the rough territory, long distance and frequently flooded roads.The northern side of the reserve along the Rufiji River is very popular among tourist and is also known as the photographic zone.
