Outapi is a town in the the north of Namibia near the border of Angola and about 90km northwest of Oshakati. It is the capital of the Omusati region the main language spoken here is Oshiwambo. It was the smallest town in Namibia but has rapidly developed into a larger town with new government buildings and shops. You will find open markets in the town. Main accommodation is the Outapi lodge, it is set on the main road and seems like a popular get-together for the local people.
