Description [ correction ]

Situated across the Zambezi River from Namibia’s Katima Mulilo, Sesheke is a small border town in Zambia’s Western Province. Its economy is based on the movement of goods and some tourists through the Sesheke Border Post.

Katima Mulilo, its ‘big sister’ in Namibia, is much more modern and commercial, and is home to many cultures and languages. Both towns are situated on the transport route linking Zambia’s Copperbelt with the export/import harbour of Walvisbay, on the so-called Walvisbay Corridor.
