A visit to the Duwisib Castle will give you an insight into colonial times. The castle was built by German Baron von Wolf for his bride in 1909 and the artefacts, antiques, armour and paintings on display in the museum were all brought from Germany. Most of the materials used to build the castle were also imported from Germany. The interior was designed for comfort with windows that allow enough sunlight while thick stone walls and high ceilings would make the indoors cool on hot summer days.
“Betta Camp has neat camping and self catering accommodation. There is also a shop and a fuel station. Read a Trip Report to Betta Camp in Namibia.” - Pieter Theron, 2009/05/10
