This is a border town, on the most northern part of South Africa, bordering both Zimbabwe and Botswana. The name is derived from the Musina tribe whose members considered their discovery of rich copper deposits, as a poor substitute for iron and named it 'musina', meaning 'spoiler'. Today, the town is known for mining iron ore, coal, magnetite, graphite, asbestos, diamonds and semi-precious stones.
