Bagamoyo is located on the coast of the Indian Ocean. The town was founded in the 18th century, and it was one of the most important trading ports in East Africa. It was also used as a holding point for slaves. Bagamoyo is a small historical town with historical buildings such as The Caravan Serai, Old fort/Slave House 1860, Germany State House, The First Church (built in 1872), The Kaole Ruins and Livingstone Memorial Church.
