Kasese is a town located along the Equator in the Western Region of Uganda, nestled between two national parks. The town was formed in 1975. It is a multi-ethnic town with many people of different ethnic backgrounds. Kasese is well known for the Mountains of the Moon - The Rwenzori ranges, including the Margherita and Stanley peaks, can be viewed and accessed from the town. (Aug-15)
