Edo's Camp has operated in the safari and game conservancy industry for over a decade and provides professional, high-class safaris where adventure combines with an intimate atmosphere and skilled staff members doing their best to meet all your needs and let you feel at ease.

Accommodation at Edo's is in luxury Meru tents, classically African, overlooking an extensive pan lined with ancient Leadwood trees and incorporating a year round waterhole. We also have two chalets built with local stone and budget rooms off the pan, including a four bed family unit. Our central office is equipped with a mobile phone booster and is adjacent to a professional kitchen where our locally trained excellent chef, Russia, prepares delicious meals. Paolo Zanichelli's Children's Home is located on the property and was started by the founders. The home caters for needy and orphaned local children and provides early education, wholesome meals and the basis of life skills for the future. (Mar-17).

If you are booked we will let you in! Even though we recommend, not to drive in the dark!

Please note that you should always stick to the speed limit as radar is used extensively in Namibia and Botswana. Be especially alert in Botswana for 60km/hr limits in the middle of nowhere, they are used by the Police extensively! Also note that if possible have the lodge that you are visiting call us when you leave so that we have an idea of the time you arrive! In any case there will be someone waiting at the Children’s Home.

From Maun Airport to Edo’s Camp – 260km plus 8km farm track (3 ½ Hours) From Maun take the A3 to Ghanzi. After approximately 69 km you will pass through Toteng, and Sehitwa after approx 98 km. Continue through to the Kuke Vet Fence approximately 169 km into your journey. Note that you must keep extra shoes handy and do not carry any red meat. The Kuke Vet Fence has been set up to control Foot and Mouth Disease and therefore you will have to dip the sole of your shoes in a special liquid. Approximately 78 km after Kuke Vet fence you will pass D’Kar village turnoff on your right. 4km after D’Kar turnoff you will find Edo’s entry under a thatch gable on the right. After turning in, keep right as the dirt road splits and follow the road for approximately 500m to the Paolo Zanichelli's Children’s Home, where we will be waiting for you.

From Windhoek Airport to Ghanzi – 510km plus 8km farm track (6 Hours) From the airport follow the B6 to Gobabis and then the Mamuno border post, about 280km. Note that you should take a pen with you for each passenger to fill in forms. Continue on the A2 in Botswana to a T Junction on the A3 Ghanzi/Gaborone road, about 160km. Turn left and proceed 45km to Ghanzi. Pass through Ghanzi heading for Maun on the A3. 30km after Ghanzi you will find Edo’s entry under a thatch gable on the left. After turning in, keep right as the dirt road splits and follow the road for approximately 500m to the Paolo Zanichelli's Children’s Home, where we will be waiting for you.

Closure:
Closure dates for maintenance / refurbishment are from the 1st to the December to the 15th of January of each year. During this period they might accept bookings only well in advance per special request and only for groups of 6 pax and higher.
