Welmoed wines are a part of The Company of Wine People, one of South Africa's top wine producers and exporters. The farm is located in Stellenbosch and its history dates back to Governor Simon van der Stel in the 1690. The Welmoed Cellar is open for tastings and the five core brands from The Company of Wine People, namely Arniston Bay, Versus, Kumkani, Thandi and Welmoed are sold here. The Duck Pond Restaurant located at Welmoed serve delicious country style food and is open from 12:00 to 15:00. Breakfast is by appointment only.
