Marotandrano Reserve is located on the north-eastern part of Madagascar in Mandritsara. The reserve is rich in wildlife consisting of a variety of animal species, different mammals, lemurs, amphibians, birds and reptiles. The climate has two season with the warm, humid and rainy from November to March when some of the areas in the reserve will be inaccessible and then the dry and cool from April to September, which is the most favourable time to visit. The visitors can engage in circuits in order to view various wildlife and various cultural events like the traditional Malagasy bullfighting and boxing. Visitors will also enjoy camping. The campsite offers basic facilities, the visitors can choose to stay in the village in order to experience the real Malagasy people way of life. The reserve office is situated in Mandritsara. (Aug 2011).

Travelling Information

The best time to visit the Park is during the dry and cool season from April to September. The region is covered Telma, Orange and Zain telephone networks while the internet connection is assured by Gulfsat. (Aug 2011).
