The Mata Mata camp is situated on the banks of the dry Auob River on the western boundary of the Park, and offers a range of accommodation types including, chalets, riverside chalets and campsites. The camp has a swimming pool, shop and fuel facilities. A generator provides electricity.
The campsites are spread over a ground terrain, with power points and shade, and neat ablutions. There is a small waterhole and hide right next to the campsite.
As this is a very popular camp, reservations are advisable.

Best to book in advance. (Some activities may be offered nearby). |

The border post at Mata Mata is open between 08:00 and 16:30 (no afterhours travel allowed) and operates independently of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park rest camp gates and park entry gates shown below:

Travelling time to the camp at Tweerivieren is about 2.5 hours.
