Situated within Anysberg Nature Reserve, there are a handful of grassed sites, each for up to six people per site. The sites share a communal kitchen with gas stove, fridge and freezer, braai area with table and chairs, water, communal ablutions with shower (gas and solar-powered geyser) but there is no electricity. There is firewood, please bring your own charcoal but Charcoal or Eco-logs are also for sale at the office. Visitors need to be self-sufficient and bring all their own food.
This reserve is somewhat hidden from the world, the chances are fairly slim to find them fully booked for extended periods. The sites are shaded under large bluegum trees which line up the small clearing where the office, campsite and ablution facilities situated.
Reservations can be done via the CapeNature website.

No firewood is permitted on the reserve due to the current risk of infection to our trees by the alien Polyphagous Shot Hole Borer Beetle.
All gates close at 16:00 and are then unmanned, so be sure to enter timeously. The Vrede office is still quite a way down the road from any of the gates – Ladismith, Montagu or Laingsburg side.
