Access to Kafue River Lodge is gained by crossing a pontoon which must be crossed between 08:00am and 17:00pm.

Northern Kafue Safaris has three lodges: Kafue River Lodge, Kikuji Camp and Kasonso Busanga Camp. Kafue River Lodge is open from 1 March to 31 December each year.
