Samala Camp is located on the banks of the fast flowing Mwaleshi River, whose headwaters are in the Mukungule Game Management Area bordering North Luangwa National Park.

There is a private campsite with a braai area and lots of shade, also next to the Mwaleshi River; with its own outdoor shower
and toilet. The campsite can be booked exclusively for maximum six people.

Wood at the campsite is in limited supply, but we are in the process of making eco charcoal for next year.

Water to drink at the camp: Campers must bring their own, or boil the river water which is a lovey clear flowing stream.

There is a braai and tap at the campsite. No power points.

Samala Camp is reached by turning east off the Great North Road (62km north of Mpika and 120km south Chinsali) at Lwanya village (called Chitembo on Google Maps) signposted 42km to Samala Camp.
