“Carol and Willie Blomerus are wonderful hosts. Willie even helped me to fix a puncture! The pan itself is a wonderful experience. The silence is like nowhere else. At night, stars from horizon to horizon. There were also lovely flowers on the edge of the pan in middle September 2022. We will definitely visit again, for longer! Just remember you need to bring everything, including water.” - Jurgen Blignaut, 2022/10/11

“Visiting the historical Verneukpan is a bucket list item. We had the option of camping on the pan or on a little koppie overlooking the pan. We chose the latter and watched a beautiful sunset as well as some jackal and small antelope crossing in front of us. Kobus Blomerus' arrangements were faultless and we did find the firewood we ordered under the tree as stated. With the pan being wet and our visit being in January, we had some mozzies visit and had to use liberal amounts of "Peaceful Sleep" - doubt that this will a problem in the winter.” - Tertius van der Gryp, 2022/02/01
