Along the central coast of Namibia is the highest dune (130m) in the coastal dune belt, and home to the only man-made 'oasis'. Visitors can enjoy sand boarding on the soft powdery sand of one of the largest dunes in the world. It was previously used by members of the SADF based at Walvis Bay (2 SAI) for training purposes.
