The main entrance gate into Addo Elephant National park is situated off R335 / R342 near Addo Reception and gate hours are from 07h00 to 19h00. The gates are manned by security guides after closing times. Visitors pay an entrance fee and those who booked accommodation within the park can still enter and leave the park before 22h00, provided they inform the reception area, but after that time no entry into the park is allowed.
No one will be allowed to enter/exit the Park without the following valid documents, that must be made available for the security to scan (This will apply to all approved entrance/exit gates at all sections of the Park):
Driver’s licence (driver of vehicle);
ID book/card (persons over 16);
Passport;
Vehicle licence disk.
NO DOCUMENT = NO ENTRY. This applies to EVERYONE entering/exiting the Park, namely passengers in a vehicle, staff, official visitors, contractors etc.
