Giant's Castle is located in the Drakensberg in KwaZulu Natal. It is a mountain peak which offers visitors hiking opportunities with panoramic views. Accommodation is offered in the Nature Reserve, with attractions like bushman rock art and is home to the eland and the bearded vulture. It is also the best base to start the Drakensberg hiking experience. In April each year it hosts the Giants Challenge MTB marathon. The name Giant's Castle comes from its location at the southern end of the central Drakensberg, where the name comes from the outline of the peaks and escarpment that combine to resemble the profile of a sleeping giant.
