The small Tamboti Tented Camp is situated on the banks of the Timbavati River, on the western boundary of the Kruger National Park, approximately 2km from the Orpen Rest Camp. The camps size and location makes it very popular and the ideal place to go. The boma is one of the features available where small groups can gather around the fire and listen to the evening sounds and reflect on the days adventure. Tamboti is great for the bird enthusiasts, it provides a bird hide where you can go and spend hours looking for that exclusive raptor that has up to now escaped you. Tamboti offers a natural bush feeling and guest privacy is emphasized as a result. Things to see at the Timboti Tented Camp are, Tamboti Trees, baboon, Natal Mahogany, Black Backed Jackal, Blue Wildebeest. Tamboti camp offers 15 Budget Safari Tents, they are furnished and is built on stilts with your own small veranda, it includes a fridge and a standing fan. And also 10 Semi-Luxury Safari Tents, fully equipped with a shower, fridge, braai and cooking facilities. For the Budget Tents there are communal ablutions and kitchens available.
