“Origin of the name Kam'bati - My oupa se bynaam was Bati Badenhorst. Hy het 'n groot liefde vir die plaas gehad, so is oord na hom vernoem. Eintlik Kamp Bati. (From Jaco Badenhorst, the present owner)” - Chris Smit, 2011/12/20

“We camped here March 2011. Was very hot, slightly windy, but settled down and we had lovely evenings. Extremely nice setting, on the river. Many shaded campsites. Ablutions are immaculate, they are constantly cleaned. Wonderful place for kids, swimming and canoeing on the river, kiddies playpark, lots of space to go cycling etc. Fishing here is apparently very good, although this weekend it was very poor, just caught 3 fish, but they were big, which made up for it.” - Janine Reyneke, 2011/03/22
