Chom se Hoogte Pass lies on the tarred R36 about 12 Km south of the Kwena Dam in the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa.
ROAD CONDITION:
The R36 from Lydenburg, over Witklip Pass, past Kwena Dam and over Chom se hoogte to the intersection with the R359 at Bambi, is in a disgraceful state of disrepair. Huge potholes are scattered all over and could literally wreck a car if you hit one at speed. (Reported June 2015).
