Tucsin Tsumkwe Lodge is situated near Tsumkwe. TUCSIN (The University Centre for Studies in Namibia) bought Tsumkwe Lodge in 2014 from the Namibia Country Lodges Group. The lodge serves as an ideal base from where you can explore Bushmanlands pristine wilderness and abundant wildlife within the Nyae Nyae Conservancy and Khaudum National Park.
It has many activities and also a 4x4 excursions to 'Hol Boom' and the Nyae Nyae Pans. There are also guided walks with a Bushmen guide in the veld. Enjoy a half or full day Bushman Village activities to add to the cultural aspect of this unique area.
The ten individual campsites are clean, has electricity and water, and a communal ablution facility with hot and cold water. All campsites are easily accessible with a power points to facilitate charging small vehicle fridges and other electronic equipment. The lodge has a well maintained garden with lawns and natural greenery and trees that provide shade. The campsites all have their own BBQ facilities.

From Grootfontein – Drive ± 56 Km north on the B8 tar road, turn right at the turnoff to Tsumkwe & Maroela Boom on the C44 gravel road. The gravel road is ± 220Km to Tsumkwe. As you enter town, drive past the School and Craft Centre and follow directions to the lodge +/- 1km distance.
From Botswana – Dobe Border Post is 56Km east from Tsumkwe. Border post hours are from 07:30 – 16:30 hours. Please note that the border officials are not flexible around these stipulated opening and closing times. Plan to ensure you reach the post in time to cross over.
