Strandfontein caravan park is laid out in 2 sections. On the beachfront is Block A (the more expensive section) and then there is also 'Perdeskoen'. In total there are 152 stands, each with electrical point. There are also ablution blocks.

The campsites are well-grassed with a choice of private or shared ablutions, and the option of sea-view stands or stands set back on the terrace. The campsites can accommodate up to 6 adults each.

The 'A' block stands are only meters away from the 4km long beach but are a bit more exposed to the wind than the Perdeskoen section. Power points are 15 amp but one needs to have the blue adapter plug to connect.

Hot and cold water ablutions, electrical lights, power points, and laundry facilities are available.

For the very energetic there is a two-hour walk to the mouth of the Olifants River. Probably the most appealing factor of the Strandfontein Caravan Park is its view over the sea.

Report at the Matzikamma Municipal Office (marked on the T4A map) on arrival. Bookings are done through the Municipality.
